Your senior year of high school is hopefully the best one for you; you are the big man on campus and it's your time to shine.  It will fly by quickly so you should enjoy every minute of it!  One of the things on your to-do list is to get your senior photos taken; they are important since you can use them with your announcements, to display at your graduation party and of course to share with family and friends.  It's one of those milestones in your life and the best time to invest in professional portraits to mark the occasion.

When I work with a senior, I typically talk to them to find out their personality type and then offer suggestions on a location and type of session they are looking for.  Danny already had an idea on the location which is great,  I love it when they help me with the process.  He wanted to use the small town of Wentzville, which I was familiar with but had never had a session there before so it was a new challenge for me.

We scheduled it for November which is typically overcast and I was ok with that but the day of our session it ended up being sunnier than expected (typical Missouri weather).  Sometimes the sun can create challenges but you can also use it to your advantage and do some fun things.  I liked the urban feel of the images we were capturing and we found his name etched into one of the silos nearby.  That doesn't happen too often so we took advantage of that.  There were plenty of different types of elements to use as a backdrop; brick, stone & metal and there was a park nearby so we stopped there too.

I met Danny years ago during a soccer game that I was shooting and he has grown into a such a nice young man.  He likes the outdoors and hunts with his dad and he was on the swim team at Ft. Zumwalt North High School.  It was a pleasure working with him and his mother and I wish him well in the future.
